Pre & Post Care Info

Discontinue the use of Accutane for at least 6 months before treatment unless you have written clearance from your medical director or personal physician. Stop using topical Retin-A or generic tretinoin at least 48 hours prior to your service. Avoid any exfoliating treatments, including scrubs, glycolic acid, enzyme peels, or similar products, for at least 48 hours before treatment. Refrain from waxing 48 hours prior, and avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning beds, spray tans, and self-tanning lotions for at least one week before your appointment. Do not undergo medium to deep chemical resurfacing or laser treatments within two weeks of your HydraFacial. If you have recently received injectables, wait one week after Botox and two weeks after fillers before your HydraFacial (Botox and fillers may be performed the same day as your HydraFacial but must be done after, not before). This service is not advised for clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

After your HydraFacial, avoid excessive sun exposure for at least 72 hours, and limit prolonged sun exposure for the following week. Only wash your face the morning after your treatment and apply the recommended tinted or non-tinted SPF daily for the next 3–5 days. Avoid heat for 24 hours, including hot showers, intense workouts, and saunas. Do not pick, scratch, wax, thread, or tweeze the treated area for at least 3–5 days. If possible, avoid wearing makeup for the remainder of the treatment day to allow your skin to fully benefit from the service. Refrain from harsh exfoliating treatments and laser procedures for at least 48 hours after treatment. Following these guidelines will help protect your results and maintain your post-treatment glow.
